Participants will have the opportunity to sharpen their technology skills and work collaboratively to develop technology rich lessons aligned to the NGSSS, Common Core, and ISTE NETS*S. Teachers attending and successfully completing technology integration training during the month of June will receive stipends and incentives. Training will be school-based and workshops will be tailored to meet a school's individual needs by the assigned district-level Instructional Technology Coach.
Summer Training Goals
Provide teachers the training as well as the supportive environment to strengthen their technology skills
Encourage the development of the school-based TNT (Technology Integration Team)
Support the Demonstration Classroom and Technology Innovation Grant Projects by providing equipment training
Develop technology rich lessons and projects aligned to NGSSS, Common Core, ISTE NETS*S and the DCPS Learning Schedules
Promote the use of OnCourse Lesson Planner as a tool for collaboration and sharing best practices
Establish the teacher as a facilitator in a student-centered classroom
